Tapping before each spank

Tapping before each spank is a spanking technique that helps to ensure that the implement will impact with greater precision exactly where intended. This can avoid injuries that come from bad aim, such as 'wrapping', accidentally hitting the coccyx or the genitals. The greater control given by the technique substantially improves the quality of the spanking.

Method

The implement is positioned, with only a light tap, on the intended target point. Then, the implement is raised and brought down with speed to exactly the same spot.

The technique of tapping before each spank is particularly useful:

  • before the very first spank,
  • when the spanker is alternating between the two cheeks of the buttocks,
  • anytime after either the spankee or the spanker changes their position.

The method does not work for all types of implements: Most whips and belts are typically too floppy to tap them against the buttocks without speed. It works well with all paddle-like and cane-like implements, riding crops and birch rods. The technique is often used in the method 'six of the best' where precision in the caning is especially important.

Tapping that precedes a spank can also add to the anticipation.
