Adobe Photoshop (or just Photoshop for short) is a popular and powerful image editor, i.e. a software to edit bitmap-based digital images, by Adobe Systems.
Adobe Photoshop is a commercial software, not free and not open source. For an about equally powerful software that is open source and available at no cost, see GIMP.
Photoshop and spanking art
Many artists today use Photoshop to digitally create, retouch, colorize, or otherwise improve their artwork.
Photoshop is not only good to edit photographs (as the name may suggest), but equally useful for drawings and illustrations. There are many Photoshop tutorials available on the World Wide Web that cover a broad range of topics.
