A conbadge is worn to identify the user as staff, press, a paid attendee, or guest, at conventions. It may take the shape of a laminated plastic card, a lanyard, run pin, or any identifiable item worn on the person
- At a trade show or convention, information might include name, address (or just home city), email address or web address, vendor status, purchasing interests, or maybe) a photo for identification purposes.
- In the case of science fiction cons, it may include the users' interests, "rate or rank", or species.
