Web image search

A web image search is using a search engine to search for images on the World Wide Web. Many popular search engines today offer the feature of such an image search. Typically you enter keywords the same way you would do for a normal web search. The resulting page displays thumbnails of images found.

Some web image searches have a feature for filtering out "adult" images, i.e. those not suitable for children. Other features include searching by image size, color or greyscale, image file format etc.
