Gender/age manipulation in spanking art
Gender/age manipulation in spanking art are techniques to create a spanking fake (or a variant of a spanking image) in which the gender or apparent age of a person (character) in the image is changed. This is done to fit a certain spanking fantasy or scenario.
Gender/age manipulation can be done from photographic as well as drawn or painted image sources.
Techniques
A number of techniques (often called "photoshopping" techniques) are used, such as:
- photomontage - e.g. replacing the head or face of a person or an entire character.
- cutting and pasting of body parts to a new layer with transformations - e.g. to change the proportions of an adult to those of a minor. A lot of experience and knowledge of proportions is needed if the result is aimed to look realistic.
- retouching - seamlessly blending edited image parts by means of erasure, stamping, and other techniques.
- often, alteration of a figure in the foreground requires repainting certain parts of the background. Again, cut & paste and stamping are useful tools in this.
Legal considerations
Copyrighted images may not be altered and used without permission from the copyright holder. Some countries allow for certain exceptions, e.g. for the purpose of satire or under a fair use claim.
Warning: depending on the degree of (photo)realism and on what is depicted in the image (e.g. abuse, indecency), in some countries such techniques can result in an image considered an indecent pseudo-photograph of a child.

In ageplay and in adult spanking photos and spanking videos, the spankee characters are often made to look younger than they are. For example, a woman in her twenties might put her hair in braids or pigtails and wear a "little girls style" dress or school uniform, speak in a more childlike voice, and use the body language of a child or teenager.
