Ballet dancers prepping in the Dressing Room

A dressing room is a room where members of the preforming arts change their costumes and prepare for their acts in private. Due to the time constraints for live acts, they need to be close enough to the performance area that their users can to get to them to change and be back on in time. As such the number of dressing rooms are traditionally less than the cast size, so they are normally reserved for main cast. The remaining cast have to use the green room.

The advent of prerecorded acts (movies and TV) had relaxed this restriction for many performers but the status of star treatment remains.

Dressing rooms and spanking

Given the brat sterotype of stars and the private nature of the rooms, dressing rooms do make suitable setting for a disciplinary spanking, especially using a hairbrush.
