A bathroom is a room in the house dedicated to maintaining personal hygiene and grooming. Typically a bathroom contains a bath and/or shower, a sink, a mirror, and a toilet. The room is also normally designed to tolerate stray water without damaging the bathroom's contents.

Bathrooms and spanking

Bathroom design naturally leads itself to bath and shower scenes, but outside of that, it is also convenient for wet and/or messy scenes such as mouthsoaping, enemas and other medical fetishes.

In bathroom spanking scenes, the spankee is usually completely naked. The spanker may be fully dressed, or partially or fully undressed, depending on the scenario. Examples:

• the spanker seated on the edge of the bathtub, the spankee OTK
• the spanker seated on the toilet seat, the spankee OTK
• the spankee bending over the edge of the bathtub, or straddling the edge
• the spankee standing in the (water-filled) bathtub
• the spankee on all fours in the (water-filled) bathtub
• the spankee kneeling in the (water-filled) bathtub, bending over the edge
• the spankee standing in the shower
• in any position, with a bath brush or a hairbrush
• in any position, on a wet bottom
• in any position, after a good scrubbing
