DeviantArt (also spelled deviantART) is an international online community for artists to exhibit and discuss their works. It was launched in August 2000.
As of August 2008, the site consists of over 8 million members, over 62 million submissions, and receives around 80,000 submissions per day. DeviantArt features many forms of creative expression, organized in a comprehensive category structure. The artwork on display includes photography, digital art, traditional art, literature, Flash, filmmaking and skins for applications. The site also has extensive downloadable resources for use by creators such as tutorials and stock photography.
Policies on nudity and "adult" art
All deviations containing nudity, excessive violence, blood, gore, or other potentially upsetting or offensive material should be marked as Mature Content.
DeviantArt does not allow the uploading of any "adult", obscene, or pornographic work. Mere nudity is permitted under certain restrictions. All images containing nudity must be tagged as Mature Content upon submission. Models under the legal age of 18 are not permitted to be depicted nude, partially nude, wearing undergarments (or lingerie), in any erotic pose or in any fetish-based situation. This prohibition is not limited to photography and also extents to drawings, sketches, paintings, and any other form of artwork which depicts a minor or child in a similar situation or state of dress.

Spanking art on DeviantArt
Some contemporary spanking artists have profiles and galleries on DeviantArt. According to the above mentioned policies, only child spanking art of the tamest kind (fully clothed) is permitted to be uploaded, whereas adult spanking art is unrestricted unless it is considered "adult", obscene, or pornographic. In practice however, drawings of child characters getting spanked bare bottom seem to be no problem with DeviantArt as long as they are clearly fictional cartoon images.
A search for "spanking" returned nearly 4.000 results as of October 2008.
