Der gelbe Onkel
Der gelbe Onkel (subtitle: Das deutsche Flagellanten-Magazin) is a bi-monthly German spanking magazine that is published since 1997 by DBS-Zirkel (VWV Chiffre Verlag, Worms, Germany). The magazine's title translates literally to "The yellow uncle", which in German is an (antiquated, and somewhat humorous) nickname for the cane. On some websites the magazine title is translated to The yellow cane for better clarity.
The spanking magazine should not be confused with the book Der Gelbe Onkel. Ein Familienalbum by Andrea Grill which appeared in 2005.
DBS-Zirkel, a BDSM/fetish club named after its first magazine, Der bizarre Salon, was founded in 1994 by Madame Lena K. Der gelbe Onkel is her spin-off magazine for those readers who are more interested in flagellation and spanking. Der gelbe Onkel focuses on corporal punishment scenarios such as in (fictional or roleplayed) school corporal punishment settings. It features stories, letters, photos, and ads.
The number of pages of the magazine issues seems to vary, for example 64 or 114 pages. The main pairing, judging from the cover photos, is F/F. The magazine is sold at a price of 12.95 Euro per issue. It is also available on subscription (6 issues per year), which includes membership in DBS-Zirkel. Older issues are also downloadable as e-books at a lower price.
Spanking videos
There is also a German spanking video edition of the same name, Der gelbe Onkel, published on DVD by Lena K. Classic Line. These are sold at a price of 29.99 Euro. They are also available in NTSC format with English subtitles.
