Cecil Langley Doughty

Cecil Langley Doughty (7 November 1913 – 26 October 1985) was a British comics artist and illustrator. He is best known for his work in the comic Knockout and the educational weekly Look and Learn.

Doughty made one illustration of Shakespeare being disciplined as a boy. The student stands uncomfortable in the front of a classroom before his teacher, who is holding a birch rod in his hand. His other hand is pointing to a spot at Master William's feet, in a gesture that probably means an order to drop his breeches.
