About Wearlatex.com

WearLatex aims to keep you updated about the latex clothing world, which draws together fashion, cosplay, and fetish wear. We’re sharing news of latex featured in the media, highlighting the latest and greatest designs, and providing tools to help you buy latex clothing.

This ‘About’ page provides information regarding the Wearlatex.com website, but if you are looking to learn about latex clothing itself, we recommend starting with the article An Introduction to Latex.

Mission

Atsuko Kudo once said her dream was to make the world a shinier place. We can’t really put it better or more succinctly, though we’ll have a go at expressing it our own way:

We are latex evangelists. We want to send out a positive vibe toward latex as a clothing material, and this involves several approaches:

Highlighting latex as uniquely attractive, eye-catching and experimental fashion wear. Promoting the positive psychological aspects of wearing latex, which can include empowerment, body confidence, and mindfulness. I rejoice in the sheer fun of playing dress-up, whether cosplay, role-play, or adopting an alter-ego. An open, positive attitude towards the fetishistic appeal of latex, recognizing that for many people, natural rubber is an overwhelmingly sensual experience.

Latex clothing exists for all of these purposes and more, and we want to sing the praises of each of them. In short, we want more people trying latex, buying latex, wearing latex, and – ultimately – loving latex!

Vendor A-Z

The Vendor A-Z is a searchable database of 350+ latex designers and resellers. Sellers can be searched and filtered based on different criteria, e.g. country, brick-and-mortar presence, or whether they carry men’s or women’s latex or both. You can also search by keyword, e.g. ‘London’, ‘chlorinated’, ‘repairs’, etc. More information.

Latex Clothing Search

The Latex Clothing Search engine is a custom search engine that searches 350+ latex designers and resellers for their items. Just enter the item you’re looking for, e.g. ‘latex pencil skirt’ and the search engine will comb Google for shops selling that item and filter out everything else. More information.

Deals

With so many latex clothing vendors, it can be a tall order keeping on top of current discounts and promotions, short of subscribing to hundreds of mailing lists or following hundreds of designers via social media. Not very practical! WearLatex aims to help by collecting as many current offers as possible in one place with regular updates.

Disclosure

Links to Etsy, eBay or Amazon are affiliate links, which means if you buy an item after clicking a link on this site, we would get a small commission. This commission is taken out of Etsy/eBay/Amazon’s percentage, meaning there is no extra cost to the buyer and no loss of profit for the seller.

The author

I chose the online name “Dicelife” years ago after reading The Dice Man, in which a psychiatrist starts making decisions in his life based on dice rolls.

Besides being pretty entertaining, there’s an idea that I thought was interesting: We make decisions and take action based on competing ‘selves’ within us. Over time and through habit, one of those selves becomes our dominant narrative, overruling all of the other-selves. This leads to ingrained patterns of behavior and a loss of exploration, variety, and adventure. We too often play it safe, because those alternative patterns of behaviors “wouldn’t be me”.

The die was a blunt way of overturning the dictatorship of the self, but more figuratively, the book inspired me to take more chances and live life with greater variety and adventure.
