Sadie-Mazo

Sadie-Mazo was the pseudonym of an artist who illustrated French BDSM/flagellation novels by Jean Vergerie in the 1930s (or possibly earlier - pics on Wikimedia Commons say the year 1918).

The name is clearly a variation of sadomasochism.
