No dessert is a form of loss of privileges involving food. In this punishment, the offender is required to forgo the dessert or sweet that typically comes at the end of a meal, often the evening meal. In some cases, the person being punished must remain at the table while others enjoy the dessert. It is a form of food punishment.
No dessert is typically, and indeed stereotypically, a child's punishment. Therefore it may be used in ageplay scenes to emphasize the childish nature of the spankee.
No dessert may be regarded as a milder version of bed without supper.
