Leggings
Leggings are a tight garment that covers someone from the waist to the ankles, resembling a pair of opaque footless tights. They emphasise the buttocks and thighs, and on men the male bulge.
Some leggings (cropped leggings) only come to just below the knee, or half-way down the thigh.
They may be made of a range of materials, usually stretchy to permit extra tightness, such as lycra and latex.
Jeggings
Leggings designed to look like very tight jeans are called jeggings.

Men's leggings, dubbed "meggings" (a portmanteau of the words "men" and "leggings") were presented as the latest fashion trend for men at spring/summer 2011 fashion runways, supposed to be styled and layered beneath shorts and preferably with large, baggy, loose or long tops such as T-shirts.
K-pop idols have been wearing male leggings under shorts as a fashion item since the 2010s
