Review
Fouetteurs et fouettes (Whisks and Whips) is another pseudo-scientific ‘study’ of flagellation, written by one ‘Professeur Eynon’, and published in the Collection Artistique du Fin de Siècle et Gauloise Réunies. In truth, it is little more than a series of titillating anecdotes about excuses for a little light corporal punishment, made perhaps even more titillating by the Roze illustrations with generous views of period underwear.
Unlike La tradition de la garde, it appears that Roze created the illustrations, printed in an appropriately reddish purple ink, especially for this volume.
