A special index page that provides pointers to various pages that might be confused with one another. Disambiguation is used to separate lists of items with the same or similar names, especially true in the case of people’s names.

For example, on the WikiPedia website, the "Robin Roberts" disambiguation page provides three different people:

• Robin Roberts, one of the Hosts on "Good Morning America" on ABC
• Robin Roberts, a MVP Pitcher for the Philadelphia “Phillies”
• Robin Roberts, Founder of the BackDrop Club and Author of SM-201 (deleted by wikipedia staff)
