Czech Republic is a is a country in Central Europe. Its population is about 10 million and its official language is Czech.
Its capital and largest city is Prague (Czech: Praha). From 1918 to 1992, the country was part of the state Czechoslovakia.

Corporal punishment, especially spanking, has a long tradition in Czech Republic. As of 2008, Czech Republic is the only country in Europe where school corporal punishment is still legal. However it should be noted that it is actually no longer practiced.
