Behavior modification refers to methods used by the dominant to improve a submissive's general behavior.

Although this could often be done just through regular punishment techniques such as corporal punishment, it can also involve such things as books with recorded good and bad examples of behavior, or sometimes charts, such as may be used with children. In this sense, an element of age play can be included in this kind of scenario.
