There are two definitions for Asiaphile.

1) Asiaphile is typically used to describe a person with an Asian fetish.

2) To some an Asiaphile is a non-Asian person who loves a generic ideal of Asian culture, often East Asian culture.

Similar terms are

  • Japanophile: a person with a preference for people of Japanese ethnicity.
  • Sinophile: a person with a preference for people of Chinese ethnicity.
  • Indophile: a person with a preference for people of Indian ethnicity.
  • Orientalism.
