Tied Up in San Francisco

Two San Francisco State College students recently tried a bondage experiment to make a point about public apathy. Judith Nielsen, left, spent 16 minutes bound and gagged in a park near the campus, while Ron Patrick took a 15-minute turn with the ropes. The pair wanted to see "if people were willing to get involved." Nobody was. More than 100 persons passed by without stopping, although there were a few curious gawkers.
