Sports tape or Kinesiology tape is used to strengthen muscle or joints during sporting events. Sports trainers often wrap several layers of this product around the wrist of gymnasts or boxers before an event to prevent injuries and/or to provide additional strength.
It is similar to adhesive tape but is not quite as sticky - it adheres to itself easily but skin or hair.
Sports tape comes in many different colors and widths.

A Personal Note from Robin
As a bondage photographer, I have first-hand experience. My models truly appreciate my use of sports tape instead of adhesive or duct tape.
However, they seem to prefer vet wrap to sports tape, if given a choice.
