A-ta-ta was a protest performance event that took place on 16th November 2009 in front of the Education Ministry in Kiev, Ukraine, in order to attract public attention to sexual harassment in Ukrainian colleges and universities. Press and media were present and brought the event worldwide attention and Internet coverage.
The event was organized by FEMEN, a Ukrainian women’s group, and involved eleven female students costumed as schoolgirls being spanked by three male students in the role of teachers.
