In October 1986, she formed the first 'People Exchanging Power' group in Albuquerque, NM. Since then, she has helped create other groups around the United States. To help support herself (and PEP) she worked as a teacher (social studies and English) and as a ProDom. She says she enjoyed the psychological aspects of her sessions. Miller's longest 'session' was a three-hour phone conversation with a client.

She won an award in 'Gorilla Marketing' for her style of marketing.

Nancy refers to herself as a true bibliophile. Her parents owned bookstores in the Washington, DC area. Growing up, she 'hung out' at bookstores and said, "I always loved the dark, musty smell of books.

One of the people who has been very influential in her life was Steven K. Stein, who is a specialist in military, maritime, and sexual history. Stein is the author of Sadomasochism and the BDSM Community in the United States: Kinky People Unite.

Her advice To young people is to read Dale Carnegie and follow his advice on "How to Make Friends and Influence People".

She retired in 2018 when she sold her business in Albuquerque, NM. She now lives in New Mexico with her dogs and writes poetry and books on BDSM.
