Spanking New Orchestra is an American performance group that do a percussive stage show that is based on the sounds made by spanking.
Four young women take positions on the stage and are spanked in rhythm. A conductor controls the precise timing of the spanks. The spanking positions are, left to right:
- standing/slightly bent over, hands on the back of a chair
- OTK
- half-standing position, torso resting on a birching horse/padded sawhorse
- standing position
The Spanking New Orchestra performed on 19 January 2007 at the Elbow Room in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
