A drum majorette or majorette is a female who marches with a band while twirling a baton. There may be only one majorette leading a marching brass band, or there may be a group of majorettes parading together.
Drum majorettes typically wear sexy quasi-military uniforms that include hats or caps, jackets (often ornamented with gold braid), miniskirts and boots. Traditionally, they wore high peaked caps, but recently smaller caps have become prevalent.
