As an alumnus of the Pasadena Playhouse, Louise Allbritton's beauty and talent quickly got her jobs in the film industry, and she spent several years at Universal, where she played leads in mainly second features. She married CBS news reporter Charles Collingwood in 1946 and retired from the screen a few years later.
