Bill Burns was one of the founders of the Service of Mankind Church in El Cerrrito, California.
Throughout the years:
- Bill has worked tirelessly to support the BDSM community in the Bay Area;
- wrote a lot of the handbooks and Manifestos for SMC;
- was a member (and pilot) in the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), flying missions to detect water pollution in the SFO Bay Area;
- delivered copies of the "Spectator" to newstands and kiosks throughout the Bay Area;
- was a software tester of the Falcon Flight Sim at Microprose working with Robin Roberts; and
- worked at George Lucas' "Sky Walker Ranch" as a software tester.
