How would you like to save hours and hours of time how would you like to write term papers with ease? Or thesis work done in half the time? or how about those reports your boss wants you to write?

I could give you the secret, but then I would have to punish myself. If you do a little research (very little) you may notice I am not a masochist.

the trick to writing exceptional epic works is in the bibliography.

Many of us who have degrees in chemistry or physics can tell you the value of the Avogadro constant (6X10 to the 23rd) or the value of Pi to more than three decimal places. Quick - where are those numbers found written in a reference book?

In a term paper, thesis, or major work, you need to show who said what, when, where, or other facts.

Before you open a textbook or a reference book, go to your local stationery shop or big box store and buy several packages of 3 x 5 cards. As you work (and I do mean work) your way through these books, whenever you see an important piece of information right on the face of the 3 x 5 card. On the back of that same card right the name of the book, date, author, publisher, and any other pertinent information you might deem valuable six or ten years from now.

For those of you who have whizbang Apple or Windows/Linux/Android computers, tablets, or notebooks, you can save that information to disk. Just remember – write it in a searchable format and remember to back it up to the Cloud - whatever!

When I started college in 1957, I started with 3 x 5 cards, pencils, and a slide rule. I then purchased an electric eraser with an erasing shield. A major innovation was when I got a "circular slide rule". The first handheld digital calculator I remember was from 1965 and cost about $400. (You might ask your grandfather about these items or look for pictures on Bing or Wikipedia.)

Regardless, start saving those tidbits of information so that you will have your bibliography completed before you start your work. it will also help guide the path of your work.
