A video clip is a short video or a short excerpt from a longer video. Video clips are usually a few seconds to a few minutes in length.

Examples of video clips are short amateur videos, music videos, film trailers, network TV video excerpts, etc.

With the advent of high-speed Internet, video clips are in common use on websites. In digital form they come in various video file formats.
