The side-of-bed position is a spanking position in which the spankee is positioned over the side of a bed.

There are two variants:

  • High bed (or child spankee): the spankee is laid (or lays themself) over the side of the bed. His/her knees do not reach the floor. This is a variant of the bent-over-object position or the half-standing position.
  • Low bed (or adult spankee): the spankee kneels on the floor in front of a bed and places his/her chest, torso, or only his/her head and arms on the bed. The spankee's knees remain on the floor. This is a variant of the kneeling position.

The spanker stands and spanks at a 45 degree angle. In this position, the spankee may have full view of the implement rising and falling, which may heighten anxiety.

Variants:

  • Bent over the foot end of the bed.
