The pubis is a term for the central front part of the pelvis region including the genitals and the area above the genitals, between the hips, below the waistline. The pubis is usually considered the most intimate body area.

After reaching puberty age, people grow body hair in this area, called pubic hair. In women, the mound of flesh on pubis is called mons pubis.
