Preventative spanking
A preventative spanking is an undeserved spanking given by an authority figure as a warning.
Preventative spankings are typically given in a situation where a particular offense is anticipated as a possibility. The spanking is given as a foretaste or sample of what the spankee would get as disciplinary spanking if such an event should occur. As such, it is often a lesser duration spanking, but at the same intensity of what the offense would warrant.
A preventative spanking is typically given before an activity is started where dealing with the offense right away would be difficult, and afterward would be considered by the authority too late to do any good.
Common offenses that might be considered for a preventative spanking are either safety rules where the offense could cause significant harm to the spankee or others, or social decorum violations while at special events or locations.
