Music for spanking is music that can be used during a spanking as background music or providing an externally audible source for cadence and mood during a spanking, such as the "Bolero" by Ravel, the world's longest musical crescendo.

The concept of cadence

The concept of cadence is the key element in spanking to music, for both giver and receiver. For some, music helps define and possibly dictate the duration, cadence, delivery and mood of a spanking. In essence the posterior becomes an instrument to be played. Regardless if the spanking is erotic or not, a tightly constructed, brisk "march up the street", or a slow building affair, "musical spanking" can make the spanker feel greater control and at the same time intensify the feelings of helplessness of the spankee.

Spanking a bottom to "Hold That Tiger" can be just as breathtaking to the spankee as keeping strict 4/4 time to the steady ticking of the metronome. Finally, songs do not have to be written specifically about spanking to qualify as excellent "Music for spanking". Some examples of brisk, strong back beats and unsually crisp, steady rhythms in pop music that were probably never thought of as music to spank by are:

  • "Wip It" & "Peek A Boo" by Devo
  • "Time of The Season" by The Zombies
  • "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and The Drells

Dungeon music

There are also composers of modern music, for example Butt Boy, who make dungeon music specifically for BDSM play (see [1]).

Ethereal music

In the genre of ethereal music, someone recommended the following works:

  • For M/F and F/F: Seireenia (c) ProJekt. A feminine collection that includes "Overwhelmed, Beneath Me" by Black Tape for a Blue Girl.
  • For F/M and M/M: Orphee (c)ProJekt. A masculine collection that includes "Lions" by Tones On Tail, "Scourge" by Unto Ashes & "More" by Judgement Of Paris.
