Majokko Megu-Chan
Majokko Megu-Chan ("Little Meg the Witch Girl") was a prototypical magic girl anime produced by Toei Doga between 1974 and 1975. Loosely based on the early seventies manga by Tomo Inoue and Akio Narita, the show ran for 72 episodes and is considered a direct precursor to the present-day mahou shoujo genre.
Spanking in Majokko Megu-chan
The series is notable for the inclusion of three separate spanking scenes, two involving main character Megu Kenzaki and one featuring Megu's best friend Roko-chan. It was also amongst the first Japanese cartoons to represent spanking in unambiguously voyeuristic terms, depicting an attractive teenaged girl being spanked on the panties. In this regard, it was preceded by Mahou No Mako-Chan (Toei, 1970) and Cutey Honey (Toei 1973), both of which featured corporal imagery (although neither involved panty-spanking as a fan service element).
