Kobe Tai (born ✦January 15, 1972 in Taipei, Taiwan) is a pornographic actress of Taiwanese and Japanese heritage.
Biography
Tai was born in Taipei, Taiwan and was later adopted by an American family in Arkansas when she was five months old. As a result, she has dual nationality.
She broke into the porn industry in 1996, under the names Blake Young and Brooke Young before adopting the name Kobe Tai. She is signed to Vivid Entertainment as an exclusive performer, and was the first Asian Vivid contract girl and stayed with Vivid almost the entire span of her adult career.
Once she moved to Hollywood, she took the stage name of Blake Young and began doing various nude modeling work plus movies. At the start of her career, while primarily doing lesbian scenes, she also did boy-girl scenes as well. One of her most notable work during this time is her scene with Sean Michaels in 'Execution buttrow', which is famous for being her very first anal scene. It wasn't until 1997, when she began appearing in more up-scale Adult features like scenes from a bar, Ancient Asian Sex Secrets, Mission Erotica, and Lotus. This is also around the time when she took up a new catchier stage name that she will go by throughout her porn career; Kobe Tai.
She quickly made a name of her self in the industry with her petite but toned frame as well as her astonishingly enthusiastic performances.
Tai married Pornographic film actor, Mark Davis, in 1997. The couple divorced in late 1999 however Tai still continues to use his last name.
In 2000, she left the industry, announcing that she was expecting her first child. She returned to pornography in December 2001; her last film was Jenna Loves Kobe with Jenna Jameson. Since then, Tai has disappeared from the industry.
Mainstream Roles
In addition to her roles in Pornographic films, Tai appeared in the mainstream movie Very Bad Things as a stripper who was accidentally killed at a bachelor party.
Tai also appeared in the skateboarding video 'The End'. The video was produced by Tony Hawk's skateboarding company, Birdhouse, and also featured several other porn stars in the same segment Tai was in.
Also, she has made appearances on The Man Show and The Helmetcam Show. Tai also did background vocals for Marilyn Manson's song, "New Model No. 15", on the album Mechanical Animals.
