Richard Steen and Asger Lund are both pseudonyms of Kjeld Frydenlund, a Danish writer and artist working in Danish and English, who produced illustrated male gay erotic fiction with strong M/m disciplinary undercurrents in the 1950s to 1980s.

As "Richard Steen" he also published a large portfolio of standalone male CP illustrations including parental, school and judicial themes. These are mainly pen-and-ink black-and-white line drawings in a "strip cartoon" style that has been likened to that of Pierre Joubert, some also with an Art Nouveau influence. Some of the drawings were subsequently colored, notably by BuckCub.

The first such drawings appeared in 1952, at first just signed "RS" before he started using the full name Richard Steen. Other pseudonyms that Kjeld Frydenlund has sometimes used include "Stanley W. Baker", "Pete Freeman" and "Horst Irgens".

From 1970 onwards certain earlier illustrated written works by "Richard Steen" were republished as being written by Asger Lund and illustrated by Richard Steen, but in reality these are both the same person.

Frydenlund mostly wrote in Danish and then produced English translations. Certain works have also appeared in French. His literary efforts range from crime thrillers, via science-fiction, to "teenage love" romances, as well as songs and poems (many of the latter remain unpublished). His main characters tend to be fit young men and highly sexed teenage boys, always physically mature (there is no pedofilia) but never too old to be spanked, strapped or caned.

Notable titles include "Burning bums and prodding poles", "The boy and the dagger" (1978), a historical romance set in the 16th century,[1] and "The Hardrod Kid" (1982), a true Bande dessinée about the adventures of a handsome English youth who leaves home on his motorbike for the first time.
