Julie Simone is an American fetish and bondage model, photographer, artist and writer.
She was born in Texas in 1974, lived in Germany for several years and returned to the United States in 1984. As a child she trained in ballet, learning techniques of movement and poise that have been adapted into her modeling, as well as attending a Science and Technology school.
Simone began her career as a glamour model in 1996, and moved into fetish and bondage modeling in 2000. She has been awarded four SIGNY Bondage Award laurels as both a model and a bondage rigger. Her latest award is the 2003 SIGNY silver award for her work as a bondage rigger. Only one other person, Lorelei, has received a SIGNY Award as both model and rigger. Julie Simone works with both classic and Japanese styles. She served as a bondage consultant for the independent film "Bettie Page: Dark Angel" in addition to having a role in front of the camera.
She is also a bondage photographer and producer. As of late 2004, nine films have been developed under Julie Simone Productions. Her photography has been featured in several bondage and fetish publications, as well as at gallery shows. Her essays, poems and paintings often reflect her experiences in a sometimes difficult profession.
She has appeared in nearly 100 movies and videos and has been featured as a model in magazines in Europe and the United States (all in non-sex roles).
