Bondage??

INTERCOURSE for the fun of it is uniquely the privilege of a few primates, like you and me.

Most animals have sex only for the procreation of their species, and to assure this, the females come into "heat" - known as oestrus cycle - so that the odds for impregnation are greatest. Rats, a few types of monkeys and, thank goodness, human females like sex nearly any time. Therefore, sex among humans for the sake of procreation is far more an animalistic activity than screwing for the hell of it. Twentieth century mankind has thrown another complexity into his lovebed: foreplay.

While basic sex hasn't changed since we crawled out of our prehistoric caves, the current revolution in sexual awareness is bursting all social concepts of normal and abnormal sexual relationships. We are no longer perverts if we don't "do it" precisely like the next-door neighbors. In fact,the more imaginative we become in our foreplay, the more fun we have with our sex partners. The enjoyment and pleasures of sex are as natural to people as building dams is to beavers.

As a part of sexual foreplay, bondage can, with an increasing number of persons, play an instrumental role in a wholly fulfilling sexual life. Critics may suggest lurid psychological aberrations.

The justification, since bondage apparently needs one, is that the particular couple involved find it an intrinsic part of their mutual sexual appetite. To suggest that bondage devotees are deviates because they aren't the same as everybody else is the height of childish social selfishness.

The true bondage devotee, to use the accepted phrase, is either passively or actively involved in forcible restraint of the consenting partner. It is important to stress the consenting facet of the arrangement. After the partner is suitably immobilized, sexual foreplay is employed to bring both partners to a suitable climax, and in most cases, the act of bondage itself becomes the foreplay, depending on the degree to which the participants have become involved. A limited amount of sado-masochism is sometimes included, but. we should emphasize that this, like the bondage itself, is illusory, and no more than a part of the game.

For a man to remove a few pounds of meat from his wife's back with a whip is ultimately self-destructive, and she wouldn't be any good for a long time thereafter. The "Blood 'n Guts" portrayed in certain so-called bondage magazines on newsstands is a radical exaggeration which appeals at best to a small contingent of the bondage whole.

This gore is designed more for shock value than as a visual statement consistent with the goals of bondage enthusiasts. True bondage devotees consider the "hard-core" S&M blood-thing to be in poor taste due to its lack of subtlety and overall crude viciousness. Literal torture and possible maiming are not the idea.

Bound to Please Magazine is for the bondage enthusiast who loves his/her wife/husband. The bloodmongers are invited to go elsewhere, for they will be sorely disappointed by our publication (House of Milan}
