Erziehungs-Flagellantismus. Sexualkundliche Untersuchungen und ihre Ergebnisse (also spelled Erziehungsflagellantismus in one word) is a German language book on educational flagellantism[1] in sexological analysis. It was written by Dr. Heinrich Wörenkamp and Dr. Gertrude Perkauf and published in 1932 by Verlag für Kulturforschung, Vienna.

Contents

The book has 192 pages and is illustrated with many drawings, colored watercolor artwork, and b/w photographs by Viktor Leyrer, Margit Gaal, Maurice Carriere and others.

The case of Andreas Dippold is described in detail and presented as a 'standard example' of educator sadism (dippoldism). The book may have been to some degree inspired by the lawsuit of Edith Kadivec a few years earlier in Vienna.

Supplement

A supplement titled Kasuistisches Material. Schulbeispiele und authentische Fälle was published by J. Werner-Solm u. H. Richter, printed in 1932 in very small run. On 47 pages it narrates authentic cases of educational 'flagellomania' and features 61 photographs and illustrations, some of which are full page.

Notes

  1. 'Educational flagellantism' is a weak translation since Erziehung can refer to the raising, teaching and disciplining of children and adolescents both in the home and in schools.
