This Publishing House has three designations

The library of the modern Editions seems to have been active under that name around 1906 until 1921 (even if the name is sometimes found on publications of the 1930s).

Modern Editions, which include the Birch white and the small Collection modern Collection, were particularly active under this name in the 1920s until 1949, with a few exceptional titles in 1919. After 1939, we find two names of publishers: [editions] f. Schmid - M. Dar, successor.

The "Éditions du Vert-Logis" is located in the same street address (34, Faubourg Saint-Martin) and published titles by the same authors. This Publishing House also reissued many of the classics of libertine literature in its "Small masterpieces of 18th-century" collection.

It is often difficult to establish with certainty the year of publication of a book since similar titles have been frequently republished over the years under three names (e.g.: Bas de Soie.) Delighting in new around 1909. Silk stockings and sex appeal in the 1920s; Silk stockings. Passions of great ladies in the 1930s).
