Dogstar Photography is a talented photographer with a background in the London fetish and alternative scene. Co-author of the LondonFetishScene.com website he was instrumental in advancing the site through his design and photographic skills. Although not working with the site anymore he has now embarked on a journey to create a substantial work of erotic photographic art. Influenced by the likes of Bill Brandt, Gil Elvgren, burlesque, cabaret, and the Hollywood ‘noir’ films of the forties all this has combined into ‘Dogstar Noir’ a growing collection of black and white photographs.

Bio

My name is Robin G Brown, I am a freelance photographer specializing in the fetish, fashion, cabaret, street entertainment, gothic, industrial and darkside areas.

I can be found at numerous fetish events and places in London, such as Torture Garden, Club RUB, Perversion, etc. I have been working on the fetish scene for five years taking photographs for various websites and publications such as LondonFetishScene.com, Torture Garden, UKFetishScene, Erotica, etc. See the links page for some examples of my work published on other sites.

More recently I have been taking photographs for a publishing company that designs brochures for up-market properties so have been capturing both lifestyle and architecture images. I excel at getting a result under adverse conditions of lighting, weather, and time.

Commission Rate

I charge £50 for a 3-4 hour photo shoot, plus £10 per hour past the first 4 hours. Additional expenses include travel outside of the London area, studio hire, makeup artists models, etc, etc. You receive a CD of all pictures taken but I retain copyright unless an additional fee is paid for copyright of the images.

Model Information

I'm looking to get pictures for my portfolio, pictures I could use in a coffee table type book or maybe a stock library. Most of my pictures so far are artistic nudes, fetish, lingerie, and portraits. However some of my portfolio does not have proper model releases to go with it so I can't use them in any other way which is why I'm on a drive to improve my range.

What I like to do is meet with you and have a chat over coffee/tea/sandwich to get an idea of what you’re like and discuss outfits, poses, ideas, etc. I'm available most evenings and I like to meet in central London at Coffee, Cake and Kink, their address is 61 Endell Street, Covent Garden, London WC2, but you can see where it is from their website: http://www.coffeecakeandkink.com

If you decide to do a photo shoot for me you’ll need to know that I don’t have ready access to a studio so I usually work from home, I have studio equipment there and just enough floor space to use it. When you arrive we’ll sit down and chill out for a minute, have a cup of tea/wine as appropriate and then discuss what to wear.

Most of the models I’ve worked with have clothing they bring with them and I’ll ask them to show it to me. I’ll have a little think about combinations and wait for inspiration to strike then ask her to get changed into what I think will look good.

We’ll take some photographs, try various poses and props and then try out a different outfit, repeating as necessary. Sessions are around three hours long but can be a bit shorter or longer depending on how things go, there’s no rush and I like to take plenty of breaks because it’s hard work for everyone concerned. When I’ve got some specific ideas in mind I’ll discuss those before hand so that we’re both thinking along the same lines.

Here’s a list of clothes that help make the best photos, in order of importance: heels, stockings (preferably seamed), thong, corset, suspenders, brassiere, blouse, jacket and skirt (forties style is possible), evening dress. Optional items can include: lingerie (all sorts), gloves (preferably opera length), choker, pearl necklace, lace wrap or anything that fires your imagination.
