Diff'rent Strokes is an American television sitcom that was first aired 1978-1986.

The rich businessman and widower Philip Drummond (Conrad Bain), who lives with his daughter Kimberly (Dana Plato), takes into his home the two orphaned African-American children of his late housekeeper, Arnold (8, played by Gary Coleman) and Willis (13, played by Todd Bridges). Their housekeeper is Mrs. Edna Garrett (Charlotte Rae).

Season one, episode 5: "The Spanking"

Episode 5 of season one is titled "The Spanking". In this episode, little Arnold is caught dropping water bombs from the balcony. Mr. Drummond feels that he should get a spanking. Arnold begs him not to do it and tries to escape his punishment in various ways. In the end, Mr. Drummond accepts a compromize: Arnold should get spanked not by him but by Willis, his older brother.

Arnold happily agrees to this, and the two go upstairs to their room. Arnold is sure that Willis will not actually spank him, but he is mistaken, and Willis gives him a real (but not too hard) OTK spanking on the seat of his pants (m/m).

Gary Coleman (1968-2010) was already 10 years old in 1978, but his small stature made him a believable 8-year-old.
