Darling's Academy
Darling's Academy is a role play event started by Spanking Legend Lucy McLean of Northern Spanking. Its first event was held in Scotland in December 2010, in an unknown castle.
Characters and history
Lucy McLean is Mrs Lucille Darling, the Headmistress and descendant of Mrs Sybil Darling, who founded the Academy after the untimely deaths of her two sisters, due to their willful disobedience. This caused Mrs Sybil Darling to devote herself to a life of education and discipline.
Mrs Darling is beloved by her students, and has influenced many a girl's life for the better.
It is rumored that the ghosts of the Darling sisters still haunt the Academy, although that is now in dispute, and it is proposed that in fact these disturbances are caused by the FS fruit bat (see below).
The Deputy Head is Miss Amelie Hammond-Grant (Amy Hunter). The students of Darling's Academy alternately fear her and have huge crushes on this strong and beautiful (if somewhat sexually repressed) ice-maiden.
December, 2010 "The Winter Term"

During the three days of the role play, the girls learned a number of lessons in deportment, baking, music and public recital, the making of tea and cocktails, flower arranging, table management, ballroom dancing, and sexual etiquette.
A select group of guests, including some "eligible bachelors" were invited to the school on Saturday evening, where they were feasted and given performances in music and poetry by the girls.
The girls prepared and served the meals.
Unfortunately, the girls did not behave perfectly at all times. There was the "pantygate" incident (involving the wearing of non regulation underpants) the first day of lessons, and the "williegate" incident (involving the presentation of after-dinner mints in the form of penises) after the formal dinner. There were myriad smaller misdeeds and showings of poor judgment, including some scandalous behavior during the post-dinner socialization. The stories of these can be read in the links below.
The FS fruit bat
The FS fruit bat (scientific classification Fructumbatius suaviumdentes) is in the suborder Megachiroptera (of the order Chiroptera) and the family Darlingsacadimae. This rare and precious creature has had only one sighting in modern times – in 2010, in Argyll, Scotland, a girl (a Miss Leia-Ann Woods) was attacked by Fructumbatius suaviumdentes at Darling’s Academy (the 2010 winter term). Miss Woods was found, quite hysterical after the attack, although she was later punished for lying about the fruit bat attack, since it was then believed that all fruit bat species lived on or below the Tropic of Cancer.
Miss Wood’s experiences proved this false, although she still was punished quite heavily for the mark on her neck, which was then blamed on her perfectly innocent classmate, a Miss Zillah Defeu-Buchanan (also known as "Zille Defeu.")
Some wonder if fruit bats could be the cause of decades of rumour that Darling’s Academy is haunted by the ghost of Sybil Darling’s (the founder of Darling’s Academy) sisters.
This report of a Scottish fruit bat raised excitement throughout the animal conservation world (or at least among a group of people who claim a “common interest," although exactly what this interest is so far is unclear). A number of people have devoted time to researching this creature. The following facts are claimed, but as yet unproved:
The FS fruit bat is a long-term resident of Mrs Darlings. It's mostly reclusive and lives in the tower roof. Some believe that there has been a colony of fruit bats there for years. But others say there's only one. (Note: this fact is debated, both that Fructumbatius suaviumdentes lives in the tower, as there is good evidence it prefers the dungeon, and it has also been alleged that it, “is as reclusive as a brass band. Emphasis on ‘ass’." Any proclivities for the gluteal regions of the body is as yet unproved.)
It is also claimed that “the FS fruit bat may be immortal and lives on the blood of new girls and the occasional nectarine." This obviously calls into question exactly what kind of fruit bat this is – herbivorous, carnivorous, or both! As all currently known members of the suborder Megachiroptera are herbivorous, this holds very exciting research potential. It is also said that Fructumbatius suaviumdentes “has an incredible metabolism, is very selective and feasts rarely."
It has been suggested that Fructumbatius suaviumdentes migrated to Argyll from Glasgow via the 16:23 Kilcreggan ferry. This seems unlikely, although all avenues of research must be followed up. It is obviously not originally local to the highlands of Scotland, but seems to have found a niche in the warm and welcoming walls of Darling’s Academy.
One student, a Miss Harvey, has said, “The FS fruit bat is happy flying solo, but happier still when getting a nibble!"
The headmistress of Darlings Academy, Mrs Lucille Darling, and her deputy head, Miss Hammond-Grant, both staunchly deny the existence of the FS fruit bat, discouraging tourists and press. However the students of the Academy have taken up its cause with the “Save the Fruit Bat Campaign," which has the motto: “Kiss for conservation! Save the fruitbat!" A Miss Pandora Blake, when questioned by the press added that she believes whenever the heads of Darling’s Academy deny its existence. a fruit bat somewhere falls down dead; and other girl (who has asked to remain nameless) said, “To save the fruitbat, every time Miss Hammand-Eggs says she doesn't believe in the FS fruitbat, we all have to kiss a girl."
Mrs. Darling was not available for comment at time of publication, but it is believed that both she and Miss Hammond-Grant will continue punishing “unnatural acts" between the female students, if fruit bat bites are found in future.
