Alex Jordan (born Karen Elizabeth Mereness on ✦ September 20, 1963; died † July 2, 1995) was a porn film actress. She won the 1993 AVN Awards for "Best New Starlet".
Jordan entered the adult business in 1992, answering an ad for a nude model. She was one of the first female pioneers of the gonzo porn sub-genre, which involved her making videos with non-professional amateur actors. She was fairly well received by porn fans, but never as a lead actress. Her most notable performances usually involved lesbian scenes.
Suspicious death
Jordan was found hanging in her closet, an apparent suicide, on July 2, 1995. Jordan was one of several high-profile porn actors to commit suicide during the early 1990s; others included Savannah, Megan Leigh, and male actor Cal Jammer.
