During the late 1970s, there were quite a few groups holding events in the Bay Area. To help these groups schedule events without interfering with other groups, we used to meet once a month at Sinbad's restaurant on the waterfront in San Francisco. we called ourselves "The Bay Area Information Exchange".

We had one person who lived in Daly City. They would take bus and Bart to get to the event and I would often drivee them home to Daly City. We often stopped at the Lyon's Restaurant just off Highway 280 for coffee and time together.

On one Sunday, about six or eight of us stopped in. Candy and I sat at the head of the table. She was wearing a short white dress topped with a bright red leather collar that I had made myself.

The restaurant was moderately busy but our waitress was attentive and efficient. About the second or third time sheen refilled my coffee cup, she put my coffee cup on the table beyond my reach and with the handle pointed away from me. On her next pass, the restaurant traffic had slowed down.
