"Love is a Four Letter Word"

Love is a dirty four-letter word! In my opinion, people use the word way to loosely. They use it without thinking about what they are saying! I am an engineer and a programmer. I need to live with logic everyday, and I enjoy their syntax and protocols it provides. Amongst some of my 'other skills', I speak Japanese. Not as fluently as I used to, but I can still get around. I bring this up because the use of the English language allows the frivolous use of words without thought or further explanation. People throw the word 'love' around way to casually. It always seems to set you up for a later disaster. In Japanese, there are, I believe, 26 words for 'love'. The love that a young man has for a woman is different from that he has for the same woman late in his love. The love that he has for his children, but the love for his first born son is different. The love for his nation is distinct from that of his desire for a hot dog. love is not lust, love is not I enjoy the taste, love is not I forward to a hot tub this evening and love to see you is not ' Damn! I haven't seen you in nearly a decade'. A kiss to some people indicates passion, to others a platonic greeting, while to others it is merely the juxtiposition of two orbicularis muscles in the state of contraction. Words are not stable English is a very complex language. It has been modified by the addition of words from other languages to the point is now the most difficult languages on Earth. I can understand the addition of words that have no corresponding words in our native tongue. Words like rendezvous, hijab and taco. This is why the medical profession uses Latin while the technical fields use German. Basically Latin is a 'dead language'; it hasn't changed since the fifth century. Vesibular ataxia is the same today as it was around the beginning of the ninth century. German is a very precise language. 'Rechte Klemmbacke' indicates the 'right jaw' of a brake caliper. It is a total shame that American do not learn their language, or how to use it. Emphasis will change context Putting the emphasis on a single word in a four word sentence changes the entire context and meaning of the sentence. she sent me flowers - a straight no-nonsense fact she sent me flowers - as opposed to someone else? she sent me flowers – as opposed to bringing them? she sent me flowers – as opposed to sending them to someone else? she sent me flowers – as opposed to sending me something else? My advice? Slow down and think about what you are going to say. What is that old saying? It is better to have people think of you as a fool than to open your mouth, speak and remove all doubt. Only one adjective? When did a 'long stem, dark blood red rose with luxuriously soft petals, exuding the smell of passion in the night' become just another 'fucking flower'? Maybe it is time watch the Discovery Channel and absorb some new adjectives?
