Arkham Scale

The Arkham Scale is a scale used to measure the degree of severity in a spanking based on the spanking position and the spanking implement used. The scale is from levels 1 to 10.5, with 1 being the least severe and 10.5 being the most severe. It is named after its creator Arkham-insanity from one of her infographics (page 1, page 2) about spanking.

Description of spankee's reactions at different levels

Level 1: Have we started yet?
Level 4: Toes wiggling.
Level 6: Flinching and gasping with each swat
Level 8: Legs kicking and wiggling. Whimpering and sniffling.
Level 10: Full on crying, with begging.

Spanking position rating

Level 4: Lying position. The least painful position is because the spankee's body and muscles are relaxed and less tense. There is also room for wriggling and kicking to release the feeling of pain.

Level 6: Over-the-knee position. A moderately painful position because the spankee's buttocks are pushed out a little, but not too uncomfortable. There is ample room for wiggling and kicking, but the spanker may not allow.

Level 8: Bent-over-object position. A moderately painful position because the spankee is forced against an unmovable object, so the strikes are more solid. Depending on the object used, the spankee may be forced to bend over more, resulting in the gluteal muscles being more tightly stretched and hence making the spanking more painful.

Level 10: Bent-over position. A very painful position because the gluteal muscles are tightly stretched. The spankee also has to struggle to remain in position, which increases tension and hence the feeling of pain. There is almost no room for wiggling.

Level 10.5: Diaper position. The most painful position because the gluteal muscles are tightly stretched, with no room for wriggling and kicking. The spanker also has full access to the sensitive sit spot.
