Christian Fennington
Christian Fennington is a British spanking actor, spanking model, photographer, and maker of spanking videos, active since the 1980s. A shortish man with light brown hair (receding in later years), he has been particularly associated with the magazine Janus and Spanking for Pleasure videos. He is also the husband of popular spanking actress Sophie Fennington.
Magazine appearances
He first appeared as a spanking model in 1986 in a two-part photo fantasy entitled ‘CP Tease’ in Janus 53 and 54. The story concerned a young married couple called Christian and Sophie Fennington. In an interview in Janus 60, the models disclosed that they were husband and wife in real life and the fictional names became firmly attached to them. Fennington frequently featured as a spanker in Janus photo shoots of the 1990s and 2000s and also occasionally in Fessee and Februs.
Video work
In 1983, Christian Fennington was co-founder with Michael Dawes of Raincoat Productions, the spanking video producer that subsequently evolved into Tallion and then Spanking for Pleasure. He made a major contribution to its success, working both in front of the camera and behind it. Many of his films were distrubuted in the USA by California Star.
Unusually for the genre, Fennington is a character actor whose varied on-screen persona may be debonair, brisk, aggressive, formal, fanatical, or (most often) comically pompous. In some roles, he wears spectacles or a false moustache. His ready way with improvised dialogue and exaggerated vocal inflections have given rise to memorably comedic lines:-
- Reggie Blashford: "What a splendid spanking spectacle!" (A Mutual Agreement)
- Uncle Frank: "This is what made the British nation the greatest in the world: discipline, that’s the thing!" (Disciplinary Measures, Part 2)
- Reggie Barker: “Dee-light-ful, Miss Granger, delightful! You could roast chestnuts on those buttocks!” (A Caning for Miss Granger)
- Derek Beadle, referring to his strap: “I call him Trevor. You can call him whatever you like… Let’s do some good, Trevor!” (Community Charge Caning)
As an online reviewer perceptively remarks, “With his laconic, wry, reprobate style he applies a level of detached humorous disbelief to his own performance.” [1]
