April Flowers ( Wasilla, Alaska; March 28, 1978) is an American pornographic actress and model. In the world of pornography she is known by her real name, but she has also used the pseudonyms: April Summers (the most common on the Internet), April Rain, Vanessa Rae, Diana Espen and Diana Rea Epsen. In relation to her personality, she defines herself in three words: stubborn, determined and independent.

She completed her primary education and part of high school at a local private school, where she played several sports, such as soccer and basketball; which - she confesses - made her behave like a very pretty tomboy teenager in those days. In the summer she liked to ride her horse Quanha and practiced figure ice skating. Her favorite moments were when she was skating; an activity in which she was very good. She liked skating so much that her plan was to enter Disney On Ice when she finished high school. However, this did not happen as she dreamed.

When she turned 16, she left her parents' home because they were very strict and did not allow her to attend public school. She left home, got a job, and began living as an adult at this age. During this period of her life, she realized how expensive it was to live alone, since she no longer had the support of her parents to cover her expenses, and the money she earned from her job only allowed her to pay for her skating lessons; but she could not spend much time practicing because she had to work. Around the same time she came of age, she met a girl at school who worked in a nightclub during the summer, who told her that there was going to be a contest soon and they could win $500 if they participated. They met with the manager of the place where the contest was going to be held, who invited them a week later to present their show. They both returned the following week and this was the first time she had ever been naked in public, declaring, "I've never been so scared in my entire life!" What later motivated her to work in nightclubs was the fact that she made more money in one night than she would in three weeks at a regular job. So she became an exotic dancer for a while, while taking some classes at the local college.

Disappointed at not being able to fulfill her plans to become a professional skater, she made the decision to become a "Feature Dancer" (a dancer hired to go to various clubs around the country or the world and do Celebrity Appearances ) because she could charge the highest salary to the clubs for each performance. Some time later, when she was performing her show in Las Vegas, a talent scout approached her to ask if she was interested in posing in men's magazines. She saw this as an excellent way to achieve fame. She took advantage of the offer and flew to Los Angeles, where she met photographers and signed contracts. For a year she flew back and forth, from Alaska to Los Angeles, so, after careful thought, she made the decision to move to California and made her first adult film. Since then she has posed for countless magazines and pornographic agencies and has made numerous films of the same genre; being one of the busiest porn stars for her work. Between 1999 and 2004, she appeared in 205 films, which is equivalent to filming one scene per week for four years straight.
