Imageboard

An imageboard is a web forum that revolves around the posting of images. Imageboards often allow anonymous posting.

Individual imageboards are usually devoted to a particular subject. English language imageboards are often devoted to anime style art.

Lists of imageboards

Futaba Channel is a well-known imageboard in Japan and has spawned many clones. 4chan is the biggest Futaba-style English language imageboard. Another big Japanese forum (thought to be the biggest in the world) is 2channel.
